As eyewear evolved from a functional necessity into a lifestyle and fashion category, Titan Eyeplus sought to redefine its retail experience to better reflect changing customer expectations.
The objective was to create a modern, premium, and customer-centric store format that enhanced product discovery, improved customer engagement, and strengthened the brand's position in an increasingly competitive eyewear market. The new retail identity was first launched in Koramangala, Bangalore, before being rolled out nationally.
Problem
Traditional optical stores often felt clinical and transactional, offering limited opportunities for exploration, engagement, and brand storytelling.
The challenge was to create a retail experience that:
• Encouraged effortless browsing and product discovery
• Elevated eyewear from a utility purchase to a lifestyle choice
• Accommodated multiple brands within a cohesive environment
• Improved customer comfort during consultations and eye testing
• Created a scalable design system for nationwide implementation
Approach
I led the project end-to-end, from retail concept creation and store design to execution, vendor management, and national rollout.
My role included:
• Retail concept development and spatial design
• Store planning and customer journey mapping
• Fixture, display, and merchandising design
• Material selection and lighting strategy
• Vendor development and execution management
• Prototype store implementation and quality control
• Design adaptation across multiple store formats
• Nationwide rollout coordination

• Warm wood finishes and premium material palettes
• Backlit display systems for enhanced product visibility
